I'm Michael Nunez. Born and raised in NYC, I’m passionate about technology, education, and sharing my knowledge with the world.

From a young age, I was always fascinated with how things worked. I built my first computer at just 9 years old, with the help of my brother, Steven Nuñez, and our tech-savvy uncle, Computress. That curiosity blossomed into a love for technology, and in the late ‘90s, we finally got access to our first family computer.

By the age of 12, I had become the Friendly Neighborhood Tech Guy. Whether it was fixing printers, troubleshooting computer issues, or anything tech-related, I was the go-to person in my community. Back then, I didn't realize I could charge for my services — I’d usually ask for a meal in exchange, often enjoying pastelitos, rice and beans, or Mangu from neighbors who appreciated my help.

In the early 2000s, I expanded my skills to help people with their online presence, working on graphic designs for Migente.com, uploading custom ringtones, and tweaking Myspace profiles to play music on load. I was constantly finding peace in front of a computer screen, unaware of the entrepreneurial spirit I was nurturing while helping folks in the neighborhood.

In 2005, I became the first in my family to graduate from college, earning a bachelor's degree in Information Systems. Since 2010, I’ve had the privilege of working at some of NYC’s most well-known companies, including The New York Times, Saks Fifth Avenue, and UBS Investment Bank, among others. These experiences have honed my skills in software engineering, systems design, and technical leadership.

Today, I'm focused on giving back—helping others level up their skills, sharing what I’ve learned over the years, and contributing to the tech community. Whether it's through mentorship, consulting, or hands-on development work, I'm passionate about empowering others to succeed in tech.
